Libya fiasco has shown how biased they’re towards Nigeria – Omokri tackle Obidients

In his post, Omokri has generated several reactions, highlighting how some Nigerians are quick to take sides against their country without sufficient evidence.

He specifically called out the popular group Obidients for showing bias against Nigeria.

An excerpt of his post reads on X: “This Libya fiasco has shown that just too many Obidients just have a confirmation bias against Nigeria to the extent that they tend to believe any negative thing about Nigeria, with or without evidence.”

“You guys know how heavily I travel. In those journeys, I have never seen people so quick to disparage their country as Obidients. Yet, when you travel and visit foreign prisons, you will be shocked that the very same people badmouthing Nigeria at home are the same ones giving us a horrible reputation abroad.”

“Obviously, there are exceptions. But if you want to be ashamed of your passport, travel to Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Peru, Seychelles (there are more Nigerians in their prisons for drugs than their own citizens) and, lately, Ethiopia and South Africa. You will want to cry at the shenanigans some of our citizens pull.”

The Super Eagles arrived at the Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano at about 5:50 pm local time, following the federal government’s decision that they should return home while awaiting the outcome of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) investigation into the incident.
