There are indications that the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC), led by Abdullahi Ganduje, may be postponed until 2025. Sources within the party’s secretariat attribute the delay to the busy schedule and absence of President Bola Tinubu, who has yet to return to the country. ...READ THE FULL STORY FROM SOURCE ↔️

A source explained, “As we speak, the President is still abroad. This was the reason we had to cancel the initial September dates for the NEC meeting. With only two months left in the year and the festive period approaching, it is unlikely we will hold the meeting in 2024. The earliest possibility may be in 2025.”

The postponement concerns were raised two months after the APC indefinitely suspended its National Caucus and NEC meetings, originally set for September 11 and 12. While no official reason was given at the time, party insiders suggest the delay was due to President Tinubu’s absence.

When contacted, National Deputy Organising Secretary Nze Chidi Duru confirmed that no new date had been set for the NEC meeting. He said, “No new date has been fixed. As of now, the postponement still stands.”

Similarly, National Legal Adviser Abdulkareem Kana stated, “We cannot confirm when the next NEC meeting will take place. We are awaiting the President’s return before any decisions are made.”
