A woman with mental health issues gave birth to a baby boy under a bridge at Ganaja Junction in Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State. Social activist Chukwuemeka Mohammed reported that the woman delivered the baby on the night of October 21. He urged the state Ministry of Environment to handle the situation.
“We got a call about a mentally challenged woman who gave birth to a baby boy under the bridge at Ganaja junction in Lokoja, so me and my team rushed down there but on getting there, the baby was already dead,” he stated.
“Please am calling on the ministry of environment to come take the dead baby to be buried. She’s under the bridge presently, she needs clothes, food and medical attention.
