An eye witness who mentioned his name as Mr Joseph Jonathan told DAILY INDEPENDENT that the deceased soldier was try to separate two fighting between civilian and police officer, in the process the police man stabbed the soldier to death.

An eyewitness also narrated that when the relative of late soldier came and saw the lifeless body of soldier lied on the ground they ran to police station and burnt two police stations in Agyaragu, Obi local government area of Nasarawa state.

He further narrated that shortly, police anti- kidnapping unit arrived at the scene of the incident in the process of try to calm the situation they shot 4 people to death again.

When contacted to police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), DSP Ramhan Nansel, over the ugly incident he said there were repelled by the policemen on duty.

According to PPRO,” As it is, two people have been confirmed dead and two others are currently receiving treatment in the hospital.

The details of this case was today an information was received that a soldier serving in Borno state came home on passing a special constabulary had a fight at a Agyaragu market, where the soldier stabbed the police special constabulary with a knife and the special constable collected the knife and stabbed the soldier.

“They were both rushed to the hospital while the soldier died while receiving treatment.

“Consequently, the relatives of the soldier mobilised themselves and came to the police station to attack the police station.
