A man who identified himself as Oscar Japh has cried out after being forced by policemen in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital to transfer N50,000 to a POS operator to enable collect the money later. He said he was pulled over and forced to board their vehicle around Atiku flyover within Uyo metropolis adding the policemen accused him of being an internet fraudster. According to him, the policemen searched his phone , handcuffed him and physically assaulted, driving home around the city.

In a social media post, he said he was taken to a lonely part of the town and dropped off by the policemen after he was forced to transfer the money in his account using his phone to a POS operator.

“They stopped the Keke that I was in around Atiku flyover, took me out and put inside their motor and hand curved me, collected my phone and checked everything

“They accused me of being a yahoo boy, beat the hell out of me and forced me to open my Opay app while driving the whole of Uyo metropolis

“They then took me to a POS stand at Abak road and forced me to transfer the sum of 50k to the POS personnel in order for them to collect cash

“Then drove me to a lonely place and asked me to come down, before coming down they made me off my phone to avoid snapping their plate number then they drove off, typing this with heavy heart, ” he said.
