In a post on her Instagram page for what would have been his 91st birthday, she lamented that it was an interesting coincidence that she was celebrating his birth on the same day she is set to be sworn in as the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs by President Bola Tinubu.
Excerpts of her text read: “A posthumous Happy Birthday, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu. November 4, 2024. On this posthumous birthday, My Dearest, know that I still rely on you even though you now reside in the heavenly realms.”
“What an amazing coincidence that I will be sworn in today, on your special day, November 4, 2024, as the Hon. Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. I ask that you continue to intercede for me, as you’ve always done, for God to illuminate my path and make this endeavor a successful one. Amen.”
In 1994, Bianca married the Biafran warlord in a lavish wedding ceremony that took place in Abuja. Ojukwu enjoyed a good 17 years of blissful union before his death.
The presidency said it will swear in Ojukwu and six other ministerial nominees on Monday, November 4 (today).
Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, made this known on Sunday via his verified official handle.
He stated that the swearing-in follows the Senate’s confirmation of the nominees last week.
The new ministerial nominees to be sworn in are Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi as Minister of Labour and Employment, and Ambassador Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
