The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing it as a party of “political vampires” that thrives on “sucking the blood” of citizens while imposing severe hardship on Nigerians. ...READ THE FULL STORY FROM SOURCE ↔️
The PDP labeled the APC as a coalition of power-grabbers, treasury looters, and manipulators who, according to them, are solely interested in “grabbing, snatching, and running off with Nigeria’s resources,” leaving millions of citizens to suffer.
This statement was made by the PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, in Abuja yesterday. The PDP also criticized the APC for its recent attacks on Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, who has been vocal about the hardship experienced by Nigerians under the APC administration. The party described these attacks as “reckless, insensitive, and an arrogant display of failure.”
Ologunagba said, “The APC’s attack on Governor Makinde confirms that they are jittery as their days are numbered. Nigerians have seen through the APC’s lies, manipulations, and suppressive policies that demonstrate incompetence in governance.”
He continued, “Governor Makinde remains a credible and effective leader, evident in his numerous development projects for the people of Oyo State. His work alongside other PDP governors demonstrates his commitment to development, democracy, and resisting the APC’s scheme to turn Nigeria into a one-party state.”
Ologunagba expressed outrage at the APC’s assertion that Nigeria is “on the cusp of prosperity” amid rampant insecurity, economic hardship, and deteriorating infrastructure, all allegedly brought on by APC’s “anti-people policies.” He added, “It’s absurd for the APC to think it can deceive Nigerians with false claims of performance when it has failed on all fronts, undoing the progress made during the PDP’s 16 years in power.”
He further criticized the economic decline under the APC, stating, “The Naira, which traded at N168 to the Dollar under the PDP, now exchanges at almost N2,000 per Dollar. Petrol prices have soared from N87 per liter to over N1,500, a bag of rice has risen from N8,000 to over N100,000, and the cost of staple foods like beans and garri has skyrocketed.”
Ologunagba accused APC leaders of “looting the nation’s treasury to fund their lavish lifestyles” while Nigerians face unprecedented hardship. He suggested that the APC’s recent personal attacks and data manipulation indicate desperation as 2027 approaches.
He concluded, “The APC should acknowledge its failures and prepare to exit in February 2027. The PDP, backed by Nigerians, will end the APC’s political journey, putting this contraption where it belongs—in political oblivion.” …READ THE FULL STORY FROM SOURCE ↔️
