The Lagos State House of Assembly has dismissed claims that it made provisions for the purchase of houses for its members in Abuja.
They cleared any doubts while reacting to the false reports of an allocation of an amount of money for the purchase of houses in Abuja.
Chairman, House committee on Information, Strategy and Security, Hon Stephen Ogundipe and the Chairman, House Committee on Economic Planning and Budget, Hon Sa’ad Olumoh made these declarations on Tuesday, January 27 in a statement.
They added that the jurisdiction of the Assembly covers Lagos State and not Abuja.
The duo said, “There is no provision whatsoever in the 2026 Budget for the purchase of houses in Abuja or anywhere else for members of the Lagos State House of Assembly”.
