The 25-year-old broke the deadlock in the 3rd minute when he pounced on Lucas Torreira’s cross from the right flank, powering a header into the top-right corner of the net.
Five minutes after the half-time break, Olivier Ntchan levelled the game for the visitors by converting his penalty kick into the centre of the net.
Osimhen scored his second goal in the 55th minute. Goalkeeper Okan Cocuk had parried a cross from Turkish winger Yunus Akgun. The ball drifted past the goal line before Osimhen met it with a flying header.
Former Chelsea player Hakim Ziyech made a pass to Batshuayi, who slotted the ball into the net in the 85th minute.
Samsunspor got their second goal from another spot-kick taken by Youssef Bennasser in stoppage time, but it was not enough to earn a draw.
Galatasaray remain in first position with 31 points, six ahead of second-placed Samsunspor, who are on 25 points.
A highlight of the game came when Osimhen held up the shirt of his teammate Mauro Icardi after his first goal, paying tribute to the player who suffered an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament.
Icardi, watching from the stands, sent a warm appreciative gesture to Osimhen for his support.
