Popular auto dealer, Adesuwa Renee Ogiozee has clarified why she refused to file for bankruptcy despite her horrible experience surrounding the highly publicised legal matter that ravaged her business after her ordeal in the hands of the FBI.

In a statement sent to Vanguard, Ogiozee explained that after the wrong profiling case, it has become chaotic dealing with some customers, who have developed lack of trust and patience in her once seamless process.

She highlighted a noticeable shift in customer interactions, particularly in the aftermath of a misunderstood situation that led to unwarranted accusations against her business practices.

“The heightened sense of urgency and hostility from customers is new and unsettling for her, as many now leap to conclusions at the slightest delay.

“What used to be a simple disagreement has metamorphosed into instances of name-calling and accusations of fraud, reflecting a significant change in customer sentiment.

Ogiozee described her battle against being labeled in a negative light by one of the highest authorities, which she said had serious implication on her reputation and integrity.

She recounted the toll this took on her life and business finances, forcing her to allocate resources toward a thorough personal investigation team to clarify her position.

“The crux of the matter was when one of her many customers bought a car with fraudulent money without her knowledge.

She explained that she was unaware that the customer was attached to anything fraudulent. Instead of receiving support, she found herself victimized by both the criminal acts inflicted upon her and the wrong profiling.

With the FBI and law enforcement seemingly unable to act swiftly, she felt compelled to take matters into her own hands by hunting for the culprit.

Reflecting on her past experiences with scams and fraud, Ogiozee emphasized that her business had always prioritized filtering out suspicious transactions. Despite a few isolated incidents, her proactive measures had proved effective over the years. Yet, despite successfully handling most customers successfully, the long-term consequences of past experiences had left her vulnerable to further scrutiny. Her relentless pursuit of justice, even in the absence of help, showcased her commitment to rectifying the situation.

Ogiozee’s narrative painted a picture of resilience amid adversity. After spending considerable resources to track down a perpetrator linked to her case, she took matters into her hands, ultimately leading to the arrest of the scammer.

This personal investment not only cleared her name but also underscored her determination to reclaim her business reputation. Her actions resulted in the FBI confirming her innocence, but the damage to her life and finances had already taken a heavy toll.

Despite being cleared of any wrongdoing, the experience left Ogiozee grappling with overwhelming debt and legal costs amassed during the ordeal. The financial burden of attorney fees and operational costs—compounded by her four years of detention—remains a significant challenge.

Instead of seeking bankruptcy, Ogiozee has chosen to tackle her financial hurdles head-on, demonstrating her resolve to rebuild her life and business. She has however, informed that only a few people might understand the decision to not take a cheap route in resolving all pending issues.
