This deadly attack and the brutal murder of civilians drew both local and international condemnations and increased the calls for the Nigerian government to rise up in defense of its unarmed citizens who are usually targeted by the terrorists. However, Boko Haram terrorists have continued their activities- kidnapping, maiming and killing people from time to time- despite several assurances of safety of citizens from government.
