The letter which was addressed to the governor read in part,” Please accept this letter as formal notice of my resignation from my position as Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Reorientation effective 21st November,2024.
“After almost a decade of service to the government, I have decided to pursue a new professional role.
“I appreciate the opportunity to serve and Have Faith in your ability to continue to deliver good governance to the people of the state,’’ the letter stated.
Reacting, a renowned journalist in the state described the move by Finbarr as impressive and wished him better days ahead while another of his followers went further to ask probing questions.
“What actually happened when you made this hard decision? But such is supposed to be announced when we grow about a certain level of life, congratulations on your new journey in life.
Similarly,another of his friends simply wrote ‘why boss?’ while another described it as a very courageous decision.
“Now you actually carved a niche for yourself, now there’s no stopping you, best wishes , keep soaring,’’ another follower wrote.
His resignation has gathered over 1000 comments less than three hours after the letter surfaced online.
