Speaking on Saturday at the Kano State Police Headquarters during the handover of 1,000 motorcycles to the Commissioner of Police, CP Salman Garba, Senator Jibrin emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing security. He urged criminals to abandon their unlawful activities or face the full force of the law.

“Criminals, you are warned: Stop your nefarious activities and embrace peace. The Nigerian Police Force in Kano is fully prepared to reach every corner of the state. With these motorcycles, they can swiftly respond and track you down wherever you try to hide,” Jibrin stated.

The motorcycles, donated to boost the operational capacity of the Kano State Police Command, are part of Senator Jibrin’s efforts to improve security in his constituency, Kano North, under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Senator Jibrin stressed that ensuring security is a shared responsibility.

“Security is not the sole responsibility of the government or security agencies; it requires everyone’s contribution. High-net-worth individuals, traditional rulers, religious leaders, students, and even the ordinary man on the street have roles to play. Let us provide the police with the support they need, whether it’s through information, resources, or prayers. Their sacrifices for our safety should never be underestimated,” he said.

Jibrin also commended CP Salman Garba for maintaining and improving security in the state. He pledged to continue supporting the police with resources, including additional operational vehicles, to further enhance their effectiveness.

CP Salman Garba lauded the Deputy Senate President for the significant donation, which he said would enhance the operational efficiency and morale of police officers.

“These motorcycles are more than just transportation; they represent a tangible investment in the capabilities and commitment of our officers to uphold integrity, accountability, and respect for the rule of law,” Garba stated.

Senator Jibrin’s donation comes a week after Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf distributed 78 vehicles to the state police. In 2023, Jibrin also donated 22 operational vehicles to the command, demonstrating his ongoing dedication to security in the state. The motorcycles are expected to enhance police response times and bolster efforts to maintain peace and order across Kano’s rural and urban areas.…READ THE FULL STORY FROM SOURCE  …READ THE FULL STORY FROM SOURCE
