The announcement, conveyed in a letter signed by the Grand Imaam of Osun State, reaffirms Dr. Basiru’s standing as a beacon of Islamic values and leadership in the state.
In his message, BABS commended Dr. Basiru’s towering achievements, describing him as a brilliant legal mind and an accomplished Islamic scholar whose contributions to both his profession and faith have inspired many.
“Our years of acquaintance further reinforce my confidence in your ability to excel in this new role. Your scholarly prowess as a lawyer and your deep understanding of Islamic tenets make you a perfect fit for this exalted position,” Alhaji BABS stated.
He further expressed optimism that Dr. Basiru’s leadership would continue to promote harmony, understanding, and progress within the muslin Ummah and other Faiths in Osun state and beyond
