A statement by the Secretary to the Government, Musa Umar Ikhilor said the reinstated staff were unlawfully disengaged from the service of the institution by the defunct Special Intervention Team (S.I.T.) in March, 2023 under the administration of former Governor Godwin Obaseki.
Ikhilor recalled that the staff, who were members of the Academic Staff Union of the University, ASUU, were unjustly relieved of their appointment.
He said the staff were sacked following the agitation for the payment of their outstanding salaries and other entitlements owed them by the immediate past administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki.….Read The Full Story From Source
