The Chief Judge of Kano State, Justice Dije Abdu-Aboki, has ordered the release of six inmates who had spent several years in custody without trial.

The decision was announced during her official visit to custodial centres in the state, according to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Kano Command, Musbahu Lawan.
