Deputy Controllers have been told to ensure their arms units are properly serviced and ready for the August protests.

In Enugu, all staff on leave and training, including nursing mothers, have been recalled. Staff now face 12-hour shifts, a change from the previous three-shift schedule. “Our work schedule has changed since last week. Work now starts from 6 am to 6 pm. A directive from our headquarters in Abuja also instructed the arms unit to ensure weapons are in good condition.
