The budget, titled “Changing Gears 2.0”, is aimed at transforming Anambra into a modern, prosperous, and livable state.
During the signing ceremony, Governor Soludo highlighted that the ₦607 billion budget prioritizes his administration’s five core pillars: law and order, human capital development, infrastructure, governance, and economic transformation. He emphasized that the budget is designed to create a foundation for long-term growth and sustainability.
“This budget, themed ‘Changing Gears 2.0’, marks a significant milestone in our administration’s efforts to transform Anambra State into a modern, prosperous, and livable homeland. We are prioritizing our 5 pillars of development: Security, Law and Order; Human Capital and Social Agenda; Environment; Governance and Value System; and Infrastructure and Economic Transformation,” Soludo explained.
With a notable 48% increase from the 2024 budget, the 2025 appropriation bill allocates ₦467.5 billion (77%) to capital expenditure, focusing on infrastructure, economic development, and human capital enhancement. The remaining ₦139.5 billion (23%) is earmarked for recurrent expenditure. Governor Soludo stated that this balanced approach reflects his administration’s focus on both immediate needs and long-term investments in Anambra’s future.
“This budget is a testament to our administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and people-centered leadership. I am confident that it will drive sustainable growth and development in Anambra State,” he added.
Governor Soludo also expressed gratitude to the Anambra State House of Assembly for the prompt passage of the budget, recognizing their role in enabling effective governance. “Thank you to the Anambra State House of Assembly for their diligent work in passing this appropriation bill.
