Fr. Kagoma during the distribution of food items on Sunday at St. Mulumba Catholic Church, Ungwa Bulus, Kaduna explained that it is the responsibility to share with those who are in need.

According to him, “God blesses us because he wants us to share with the poor, don’t think that what you have belongs to you, it is meant for you to share.

“If you say you have faith and no good work, it’s nothing. If you believe in Christ share and that is what am trying to do luckily it felt on my birthday.

“It is my birthday and instead of me to buy wine and do party for people to come and eat and drink. I felt I should buy food items and share with the widows, because people are dying of hunger”.

The cleric who is also the founder of Fr Kagoma Foundation for Women Economic Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Development noted that his foundation has empowered thousands of orphans and widows in the rural communities.

“My foundation has been empowering women for a very long time especially orphans and widows, we give them skills and start up capitals. Last year we graduated over 500 young men and women from various skills, this year we enrolled about 500”.

Amid the hardship, the Christian cleric urged Nigerians not to give up, saying that someday we will come out glorious.

“Christ suffered but after suffering, he was glorified. Whatever we go through as a people, let us see it as a kind of purification, after that purification what comes out is glorious. You have to go through fire then you have gold”.

One of the beneficiary, a 45-year-old Victoria Dogo who is also a widow thanked the priest for his kind gesture, saying that the food items will go a long way.

Mrs Dogo who is a mother of seven, lamented the hardship in the country, saying that hunger is killing them.
