The Abuja High Court has issued an interim injunction restraining the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and other parties from selling or interfering with a disputed property at Plot No. 4411, Cadastral Zone A09, Guzape District, Abuja. This follows an ex-parte motion filed by Reuben Atabo (SAN), representing the applicant, Nextdora Nigeria Limited.
The ruling, made by Justice Mohammed Zubairu on Monday, aims to preserve the claimant’s exclusive possession of the property pending the hearing of the motion on notice, which is scheduled for December 30. In granting the injunction, Justice Zubairu emphasized the need to uphold fairness and ensure justice by preventing any potential harm or trespass on the property.
The court ordered that the defendants, including the FCT Minister, the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), and other involved parties, must refrain from any action that would disturb Nextdora Nigeria Limited’s possession of the land. This includes halting any development or reassignment of the property during this period.
Nextdora Nigeria Limited, which claims ownership of the land through a Right of Occupancy (File No. MISC 128232), has requested the court to recognize it as the legitimate titleholder and prevent the defendants from selling or developing the property. The company is seeking seven reliefs, including protection of the property’s title and safeguarding it from third-party interference.BREAKING NEWS|TAP TO VIEW THE FULL V!DEO, FATHER ARRESTED FOR BEHE4DING HIS 1 YEAH OLD SON AND CAUSING INJURY TO HIS WIFE AND MOTHER IN-LAW.
