Chibuike Ikenga, the spokesperson of the faction of the party led by Tony Okocha has alleged that former Governor Chibuike Amaechi is a close ally of Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the People Democratic Party in the 2023 presidential elections.
Ikenga who was speaking in a no-holds-barred interview with Daily Post claimed that Amaechi who is in a fractious relationship with the All Progressives Congress (APC) is working “hand in gloves” with the former Vice President.
According to him, Amaechi holds meetings at night with individuals he claims are members of the PDP and loyalist of Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
He said: “Yes of course, we know where everybody belongs. He’s a member of…he’s working hand in glove with Atiku to unseat the President. We’re Rivers people. We know all that’s happening.
