Explaining his decision, Bafarawa said, “I have recently dedicated myself to a youth initiative focused on inspiring, empowering, and changing the lives of our young individuals, who are the cornerstone of our nation’s future.”

He clarified that his resignation should not be interpreted as a criticism of the PDP but rather a step to prevent any conflict of interest as he transitions into his new role.

“My main focus will now be to create opportunities for youth empowerment, foster innovation, and promote principles that ensure a thriving future for all,” he added.

Bafarawa also expressed gratitude for his time in the PDP, acknowledging the party’s role in Nigeria’s democratic journey. “I remain grateful for the opportunities I had to serve within the PDP.
