A statement issued by Okey Kanu, the state’s commissioner of information after the executive council meeting said the new stipend rate will range from N250,000 to N300,000 while there would be an additional N100,000 for members of the council of traditional rulers at the state level.

Kanu also stated that the same would apply to the traditional leaders at the local government level.

He said, “The state economic team charged with this assignment will soon be inaugurated.”
