During a town hall meeting, Sani acknowledged the hardships caused by some federal policies but assured that these difficulties are temporary. He argued that protests are not the solution, emphasizing that President Bola Tinubu is diligently addressing the economic challenges inherited from previous administrations.
“The Federal and State Governments have been unrelenting in addressing the nation’s developmental and security challenges. The nationwide mobilization for protests is therefore unnecessary, ill-timed, and in bad taste,” Sani stated. He cautioned against emulating protests in other African nations, noting Kaduna’s unique context and history of tensions. “Practically every notable upheaval we have experienced in this state in the last 25 years began as a ‘protest,’” he said.
