Although Seyi Tinubu has not confirmed his intention to contest the governorship election, there are calls for him to join the race.
In a post shared on social media on Friday, January 17, 2025, VeryDarkMan stated that he would support Seyi Tinubu to become the Governor of Lagos, even though he does not usually engage in politics.

“Based on my calculation, Seyi Tinubu is a bridge to get something that I want, something that I believe will make Nigeria work,” he added.
VeryDarkMan pointed out that Seyi plays his father’s kind of politics where he positions people early enough in different levels of relevance to do his bidding.
According to the activist, he suspects that Seyi already has loyalists in advantageous positions. He said those loyalists are likely not to be older folks because they would be difficult for him to control.
