A 39-year-old mother who says she has no intention of stopping her pregnancy has revealed that this will be her 20th child. She said: “I see being a mom like a business, practically.
“The truth is, as the government helps me for each child, I receive a little money for each one”
Martha added that she gets government assistance to help with the expenses of raising her nineteen children.
Her youngest child receives about $30.50 per month, while her oldest child receives $76.
She gets $510 monthly in total from the Colombian government. The woman talked about how difficult it is to raise all of her children in a small three-bedroom home, and how she depends on her neighbors and local church for support.
