Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, the lawyer of convicted terrorist and leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has said his client remains indomitable in Sokoto prison, where he’s serving life imprisonment.

Kanu was sentenced by a Federal High Court in Abuja for terrorism and treasonable felony, charges tabled against him by the Department of State Services (DSS).

Ejimakor, who recently visited the IPOB leader in prison, revealed how the leader is coping.

He shared on X, “I just exited from meeting Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in #SokotoPrison. He remains indomitable & expressed his profound gratitude to all who have stood by him. Like Nelson Mandela endured ‘Robben Island’ & triumphed, #MNK is enduring Sokoto with resilience & strength.”

In another post, Ejimakor lamented that a court had refused to issue a warrant requiring Kanu to appear before a court in Abuja on November 28.

He said, “This is a Summons to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to be present on Nov 28 at Federal High Court Abuja for settlement of record for the appeal he filed before the Nov 20 judgment. A production warrant is required for the #SokotoPrison to bring him to Abuja but the Court refused to issue it.”
