The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig Gen. Olakunle Nafiu, has issued a stern directive to corps members, emphasising personal security and responsible conduct to navigate the inherent challenges of the service year.

Key Points:

The DG warned 2025 Batch ‘C’ members in Edo State against embarking on any journey without official permission.
He highlighted the need to avoid night travel to prevent “avoidable dangers” on Nigeria’s highways.
Corps members were admonished to be personally vigilant at their Places of Primary Assignment.
A caution was given against circulating unverified information on social media platforms.
The DG urged total abstinence from social vices like cultism, cybercrime, and political thuggery.
These acts were stated as jeopardising both personal safety and the integrity of the service.
The state coordinator thanked the DG for providing an enabling environment at the camp.

The warning underscores the institution’s attempt to shield its members from external and self-inflicted perils, reinforcing that the journey of service requires both official structure and personal accountability.View Post
