“Wike using federal might to scuttle democratic processes in Fubara’s govt” – PDP chieftain

Chief Emeka Charles Kalu, a prominent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, has called on Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and former Governor of Rivers State, to focus on his ministerial duties and allow the current Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara, to govern without interference....For More READ THE FULL STORY▶▶

The appeal follows the ongoing conflict between Wike and Governor Fubara, which recently escalated with the burning of three local government headquarters after the conclusion of local council elections.

Kalu stressed that the ongoing crisis in Rivers State could be resolved if Wike withdraws from interfering in Governor Fubara’s administration and focuses on his responsibilities as the FCT Minister.

He urged Wike to prioritize the development and security needs of Abuja, which demand his full attention.

“As a father figure, Chief Wike should step back and allow Governor Fubara to govern without interference or the use of federal power to undermine democratic processes,” Kalu stated. He also called on the APC-led federal government to intervene and ensure Wike ceases his involvement in Rivers State’s political affairs, urging them to prevent further disruption of Fubara’s administration....For More READ THE FULL STORY ▶▶
