A Nigerian man, Cyril Ugbede, who worked as a security guard with a N25,000 monthly salary after completing NYSC, has shared his inspiring story. According to Cyril, he was earning N25,000 a month as a security guard, but he made the most of it, including paying rent, as he isn’t used to begging people.
“When I finished serving Nigeria in the NYSC at the end of 2019 and it was early 2020, the girlfriend I had asked me to send her 20k naira but I didn’t have. She wasn’t interested in me again. She also said I didn’t propose to her and we had stayed two years already. We departed,” he wrote.
I had to start working in a security company where I maned gates. Even working under the people I was better than. I was doing the job at 25k per month.
Some guys we graduated together didn’t want to do it. I was living alone and paying house rent. A guy in the compound insulted me before a lady that I didn’t cook with gas. I knew I won’t be doing that forever.
Some girls underrated me when I asked them out; even when they see me at the gate, but I was confident, I am BIGG, even bigger than them. I also believed I was bigger than their boyfriends.
These girls I have talked to heretofore send me messages daily on Facebook that we can work things together. I was doing the security keeping my degree aside because I didn’t want to ask anyone to give me money to buy airtime. I was not used to begging people.
Any of you reading this can attest if I have ever asked you for anything. I remember sending money to my guys who didn’t want to do the job when they request my assistance.
If you know what the future holds, you will be happy at your present because you understand the future is greater.
