The development follows the recent creation of seven monarchies by the governor, which was announced on December 23, 2024.
According to the governor’s spokesperson, Humwashi Wonosikou, the new appointments were based on merit and the popularity of the appointees among the people.
The newly selected traditional rulers include HRH Alhaji Sani Ahmadu Ribadu as the Emir of Fufore, HRH Barrister Alheri B. Nyako as the Tol Huba, HRH Prof. Bulus Luka Gadiga as the Mbege Ka Michika, HRH Dr Ali Danburam as the Ptil Madagali, HRH Aggrey Ali as the Kumu of Gombi, HRH Ahmadu Saibaru as the Emir of Maiha, and HRH John Dio as the Gubo Yungur.
