Gists9ja reported that the accident, which claimed the lives of Junior Pope and four crew members, occurred as they were traveling to a movie set.
In an emotional Instagram post, Adanma recounted the dark period she faced after the incident, revealing that the tragedy led her into a deep depression and thoughts of suicide. Adding to her emotional turmoil, she faced intense backlash on social media and criticism from some of the deceased crew members’ families.
A Period of Darkness
Adanma described the months following the accident as some of the most challenging of her life. The weight of the tragedy forced her to stop breastfeeding her three-month-old baby due to overwhelming sadness. She shared how her mother intervened to care for the child, fearing the effects of her grief on the baby.STRANGE INDEED! “I had to stop breastfeeding in less than three months due to so much sadness in my heart, depression, calls, and harsh words from families of the deceased and online fans,” she wrote.
Support From Uche Nancy
In her darkest moments, Adanma found solace in the unwavering support of movie producer Uche Nancy. She reached out to Uche, who provided not only financial assistance but also emotional reassurance that helped Adanma reconsider her thoughts of ending her life.
“She said, ‘Ada, don’t worry, I dey for you… Stay alive and strong.’ Her words lifted my soul even though I was contemplating suicide at that time,” Adanma recounted.
Social Media: A Double-Edged Sword
While her phone became a source of comfort, Adanma also found social media to be a source of pain due to the harsh criticisms she received. However, she noted that messages of love and support from some fans and friends helped her persevere.
“My phone was the closest thing to me at that point. I only came online to cry away my pain and feel a little better from some good friends and fans who chose to love me regardless.”

Adanma expressed heartfelt gratitude to Uche Nancy for her kindness and generosity. She praised Uche for her continued support, which extended beyond financial aid to consistent emotional encouragement.
