Amotekun Arrests Four Citizens Pasting Posters In Akure




Four Nigerians have reportedly been arrested by the Amotekun-coded Southwest Security Network Agency for posting “Akeredolu; Resume or Resign” posters in Akure, the state capital of Ondo State, according to Sahara Reporters.

After then, SaharaReporters has learned that the four activists were given over to the Department of State Services (DSS), which is the equivalent of the secret police.

Oguniyi Babajide, Ogunsusu Tope, Ahmed, and Are Aka Efo were named as the activists.

The activists’ attorney, Tope Temokun, claimed on Friday that the Amotekun security group had informed him of the activists’ arrests, but that they had also turned themselves in to the DSS.

The quartet was last observed pasting “Akeredolu Must Go” posters in Akure on Friday around 1:30 pm, according to information obtained by SaharaReporters.

On Wednesday, Mr. Olamide Oladiji, the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, declared that he had received a letter from Governor Akeredolu, who was ailing, stating that he would be going on medical leave later that day, two days after President Bola Tinubu had issued the directive to address the state’s leadership crisis.

Oladiji stated that unless a formal pronouncement to the contrary was made, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the state deputy governor, will subsequently take on the duties of the governor in an acting capacity....PROCEED.FULL.READING>>>
