AIRS is an autonomous body tasked with generating revenue for the state.

The tragic incident reportedly took place on December 11, 2024, near the Onitsha head bridge while AIRS officials were in pursuit of a vehicle that allegedly lacked the necessary permits.

Chukwuma Onyebuchi, the son of the deceased, shared the heartbreaking details with SaharaReporters, stating that his father’s body was deposited in a morgue without the family’s knowledge. He continued, “By the time we found him, his body had already started decaying. We need justice for my father, who was a well-respected community leader. Please help us bring this case to the government’s attention.”
