In his ruling, Justice Rahman Oshodi of the Ikeja Special Offences Court dismissed the application by the former CBN governor.
He also struck out one out of the four charges – which bordered on abuse of public office – against Emefiele by the EFCC
The judge declared that contrary to his plea, the court has the jurisdiction to try the former CBN governor on the charges against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to the judge, the EFCC already established a territorial jurisdiction of the court on counts eight to 26 with facts in the proof of evidence.TOP SECRET REVEALED!
