While Palmer has earned praise for his impressive performances since joining Chelsea from Manchester City last summer, Cundy believes that Caicedo has been the team’s standout player.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Cundy explained, “It’s hard for anyone to look at Caicedo’s performances and not appreciate them. I’ve been talking about him for a while now. This boy is the best midfielder in the country right now. I think he’s our most important player. People will argue for Palmer, and I understand that, but for me, Caicedo is crucial because of what he can do and what he does on the pitch.”
