Mekwa called on Akpabio to steer clear of Rivers State’s internal politics and focus on his legislative responsibilities.
Speaking in Port Harcourt over the weekend, Prince Mekwa expressed disapproval of Akpabio’s remarks made on December 13, 2024, during the birthday celebration of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
Akpabio had suggested that Governor Fubara should have shown loyalty to his predecessor, Wike.

“As a son of the Niger Delta, I expect Senator Akpabio to act in ways that promote unity rather than division in the region.
“We want to make it clear that Rivers people will no longer tolerate such interference from Abuja-based politicians,” Mekwa said.
Prince Mekwa commended Governor Fubara for his commitment to peace and development in the state, urging Rivers people to rally behind him.
“Since assuming office 18 months ago, Governor Fubara has sustained his social contract with Rivers people. His administration has ensured peace, security, and remarkable developmental strides,” he said.
Mekwa also praised the governor for conducting the October 5 local government elections without violence.
He further called on journalists to maintain their commitment to developmental reporting, holding political leaders accountable, and shedding light on the nation’s challenges.WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: WHY YOU MUST NOT FAIL TO HAVE $EX BY 12PM. THE BENEFIT WILL SHOCK YOU| NO 5 IS VERY COMPULSORY.
