China values its diplomatic ties with Nigeria due to the shared strategic interests of both nations.” Yi reiterated China’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Nigeria across multiple sectors, supporting each other’s core interests, and continuing to pursue mutual benefits as both countries aim for development and revitalization.
Yi further commended Nigeria’s pivotal contributions to the success of the 2024 FOCAC, particularly noting President Bola Tinubu’s visit to China in September 2024, where the two nations elevated their relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership.
