According to the statement, 24 Commodores were promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral, 26 Captains were elevated to the rank of Commodore, and 96 Commanders were advanced to the rank of Captain.

In his address following the promotion ceremony, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, the Chief of the Naval Staff, urged the newly promoted officers to redouble their efforts in service to the nation.
