Social media rumors had suggested that Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, was allegedly detained by operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) at his Abuja residence on Tuesday night. The rumors linked the alleged arrest to Obi’s recent press conference, where he voiced concerns over the nation’s growing issues, including insecurity and widespread hunger.
However, Prof. Stella Okunna, who served as the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning during Obi’s time as governor and is currently the Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Paul University, Awka, along with Dr. Valentine Obienyem, Obi’s media aide, refuted these claims in an interview with LEADERSHIP.
Both Okunna and Obienyem confirmed that Obi was not detained by any security agency.POLITICIANS ARE NOW GETTING INTO TROUBLE GRADUALLY! $3X TAP3 V!DEO OF ANOTHER PROMINENT POLITICIAN LE4KED ON SOCIAL MEDIA | WATCH NOW BEFORE IT’S DELETED.

The ceremony, presided over by the Primate of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Most Rev. Dr. Henry Ndukuba, had Obi as a guest of honor.
During the event, Obienyem stated that Obi reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the university, declaring, “I will keep supporting the University of Niger.”
Reflecting on his time as governor, Obi shared his decision to return mission schools to their original owners, which he believed played a crucial role in revitalizing faith in education. He remarked, “The return of schools to the Church was a milestone in rebuilding our education system.
It renewed the confidence of both the Catholic and Anglican communities, encouraging them to elevate education to new heights and ultimately establish new universities in Anambra State. These institutions have since contributed significantly to advancing human capital development in the state and beyond.”POLITICIANS ARE NOW GETTING INTO TROUBLE GRADUALLY! $3X TAP3 V!DEO OF ANOTHER PROMINENT POLITICIAN LE4KED ON SOCIAL MEDIA | WATCH NOW BEFORE IT’S DELETED.
