In October 2023, Brown traveled to the Dominican Republic for a BBL procedure, a popular yet controversial cosmetic surgery that involves liposuction and fat injections into the buttocks. She kept the purpose of her trip private, telling her family she was visiting South America. After returning to the UK, Brown experienced symptoms resembling a viral infection but declined to seek medical care. Tragically, she collapsed at her home in South London and was found unresponsive by her mother.
An inquest later confirmed that Brown’s death was caused by a fat embolism, a rare but potentially fatal complication associated with BBL procedures.
