Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, has stated that Seyi is a likely candidate for the position of Lagos Governor.
Conversations about Seyi’s gubernatorial ambition gained attention after a socio-political organisations, Friends of Seyi Tinubu (FOST), endorsed him for the role.
During an interview with Channels Television, Olawande described Seyi as his leader and mentor, emphasizing that the president’s son has the ability to lead Lagos State.
The minister believes that Seyi is not too young to hold the position of governor, noting that the president’s son is a well-trained individual who has supported and empowered many young Nigerians, even before his father became president.
“He is not too young to become a governor, that’s the truth, adding that Seyi is qualified to become the next Lagos State Governor. He is a well-trained youngman that has built a lot of young people, massive young people even when his father is not the president,” Olawande said.
Olawande pointed out that Seyi had nothing to do with the endorsement by groups campaigning for him to become a governor.
Olawande said, “Seyi is not the one engineering the campaign to become the next governor of Lagos State.
