Ekpa, detained on November 21, 2024, faces accusations of terror-related activities, including incitement to violence and funding terrorism in Nigeria.
Following his arrest, the Päijät-Häme district court ordered Ekpa’s detention, accusing him of spreading terrorist propaganda on social media. The five individuals, initially held in custody, were subject to an investigation related to these activities. However, sources indicated that two of Ekpa’s alleged co-conspirators were released by the Finnish government, although their identities and reasons for release remain undisclosed.
Government representatives confirmed that Ekpa is still in custody but declined to provide further details. This development comes after Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, Gen.
