The suspect, a native of Akwa Ibom State, was arrested on Thursday at his residence on Akpan Eno Lane in Abak.
Augustus, a graduate of the University of Uyo and a content creator, allegedly cloned the DSS website to deceive unsuspecting Nigerians into believing that the agency was conducting a recruitment exercise.
“Augustus, a native of Abak Local Government Area, was tracked and arrested by our operatives at his residence. His actions were aimed at defrauding the public,” a DSS source revealed.
The agency quickly flagged the fake recruitment notice and issued a public warning against falling victim to such fraudulent activities.TOP NEWS TODAY!
