The group had claimed that Kanu approved its political wing to foster a dialogue with the Nigerian government on the future of southeast Nigeria.
The spokesman of the group, Emereonye Nwachukwu, stated that the move comes after Bianca Ojukwu, Minister of State, Foreign Affairs, hinted at Kanu’s possible release.
The IPOB-PW claims that Nnamdi Kanu made this known through proxy meetings with people who have spoken to him in detention.
However, Uchechi said that IPOB-PW is a hoax and a faceless group.
Taking to her X page, she wrote: “@Independent Who are these faceless fools? What is and who are the people behind this sham called IPOB-PW?
“Be aware that IPOB – PW is a hoax and does not speak for #NnamdiKanu or #IPOB.
