This was contained in a congratulatory message of one of the groups that pushed for the actualization of the president’s dream in 2023 general elections, Yoruba Ronu Group made available to newsmen in Akure, Ondo State capital on Saturday.
In the statement signed by the Chairman of the group, Prince ‘Diran Iyantan, noted that as the President marks his 73rd birthday anniversary, he’s committed to transforming the federation to rank with comity of nations with strong economy.
Iyantan said: “As we celebrate the 73rd birthday of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Yoruba Ronu Group wishes to honor a man whose journey has been defined by an unwavering commitment to the service of the Nigerian people.
“President Tinubu, a transformative leader and visionary, has consistently demonstrated the qualities of an iconic statesman, both as the former Governor of Lagos State and now as the President of our great nation.
“In the two years since he assumed the presidency, Tinubu has approached governance with a courageous spirit, undertaking significant reforms across all sectors of society.
“His efforts to sanitize the financial sector and implement comprehensive reforms will undoubtedly stand the test of time, leaving a legacy that will benefit generations to come.
Speaking on the choice of President Tinubu in 2023, Iyantan expressed pride in the organization’s early endorsement of President Tinubu, stating that “We saw a shining star in him as one that would shine over our country. This vision was the reason we mobilized Nigerians, especially those from the southwest region, to urge him to run for the presidency. Our support for his campaign was driven by our belief in his potential to lead Nigeria towards greatness.”
The former federal commissioner in National Population Commission emphasized that the Yoruba Ronu Group is immensely proud of President Tinubu’s achievements and firmly believes that one term is not sufficient to fulfill the ambitious vision he has for a lasting and prosperous nation.
He said: “We shall do everything possible to ensure that Nigerians grant you another mandate for the continuity of your work, for the betterment of our people and the pride of our great nation,” Iyantan added.
“As we celebrate your 73rd birthday, Mr. President, we extend our deepest gratitude for the remarkable gift you have given to Nigerians, particularly with the signing of the South-West Development Commission bill into law.
“This milestone marks a significant advancement in regional development, poised to drive infrastructure growth, stimulate economic progress, and enhance social welfare in the South-West region – an achievement reminiscent of the era of Chief Obafemi Awolowo as Premier of the Western State.
“The establishment of the South-West Development Commission, alongside five other regional development commissions initiated by President Tinubu, underscores his commitment to inclusive governance and regional empowerment.
“These commissions will play a crucial role in promoting grassroots development, job creation, and social progress, ensuring that all parts of Nigeria benefit from this administration’s developmental agenda.
“We express our heartfelt appreciation for your purposeful leadership, Mr. President. Who else could have been bold enough to guide us out of the challenges that have long plagued our nation?
