In a fiery outburst, Odumeje lamented the state of the nation’s economy, accusing the president and his family of enjoying public wealth while ordinary Nigerians suffer.
Expressing deep disappointment, Odumeje criticized the current government’s economic policies, stating that they have driven up the cost of living to unbearable levels.
“Your government are bragging when they have nothing they have offered to this nation. Even the latest governmemt that Tinubu controls is the worst government that Nigeria has ever have.
“I am so much disappointed to (sic) all of us Nigeria(sic) that we allow this person to be suffering us and making the economy to go high. And him and his family is(sic) enjoying the money that belongs to everybody. And we keep quite in social media. He is my fellow man but he has nothing to offer. We live once on earth but we die.”
He accused the government of failing to provide solutions to the nation’s problems, while engaging in frivolous discussions at the Senate.
He described the debates in the legislative chamber as “childish,” arguing that lawmakers are focusing on trivial matters instead of addressing critical economic challenges.
“Look at the discussion they are discussing in Senate, about man and woman. The Senate president and one woman are talking rubbish. The woman will go to international television. I thought what they suppose to be talking there, how the Senate president was working (sic), how the economy of Nigeria is about to be reset by the Senate president. Senate president has already been digging how to research , how to work out every Nigerians will be paying (sic) in every month.
“Look at the childish discussion in the senate and people are there talking rubbish, behaving like kid. Look at the way they are disgracing us at the whole nation. Look at how things are skyrocketing everyday and nobody is saying nothing on social media. All Nigerians you people need to reset your memory,” he fumed.
Odumeje also condemned the high cost of essential commodities, particularly rice, which he noted had skyrocketed beyond the reach of ordinary Nigerians.
He called on citizens to take action against price inflation, suggesting radical measures such as shutting down shops and disrupting food transportation to the Aso Rock Villa.
In a bold declaration, the cleric announced his intention to contest the presidency in the 2027 general elections.
He claimed to be undergoing divine guidance and research in preparation for taking over the leadership of the country.
“That is why I tell you this presidential seat 2027, I am coming out for it. When I am done with researching with God, when I come out, sit on that seat let me see,” he declared.
