Armando Broja has been spotted back in Chelsea training to give Mauricio Pochettino a huge boost ahead of Brentford. In his injury update ahead of the game, Pochettino revealed: “We need to assess Axel Disasi, assess Nico Jackson, we need to assess also Reece. Broja is out because rotation problem in his knee but it is another knee, not the one that was the problem from the past. We have a few players that we need to assess to see if they’re available, if they can play, if they’re on the bench or if they’re off the list completely.”

While Reece James, Disasi, Badiashile and Jackson all made the bench, as Pochettino revealed, Broja missed out which saw Chelsea forced to play Cole Palmer in the false nine role. As it turned out, not having a natural striker proved to be extremely effective with the versatile 21-year-old causing Arsenal a number of problems alongside scoring his second goal of the season.

Nonetheless, Pochettino will certainly be happy to have both Jackson and Broja fully fit and available again with the later captured taking part in the group sessions at Cobham courtesy of the latest training pictures. Badiashile and Levi Colwill, who could easily become Chelsea’s next centre-back partnership, were seen engaging in conversation and laughing, while Mykhailo Mudryk and James were also spotted smiling at each other.

The positive news regarding Broja follows on from another timely Christopher Nkunku injury update as the Frenchman continues his strength and conditioning work in the hopes of returning before the end of the year. On Instagram, Nkunku is seen working with his trainer Jerome Andral, who runs the page prp.team, in the gym as he builds strength back in his injured knee.

In his latest exercise, the former RB Leipzig man is holding a kettle ball while balancing his left leg on an elevated platform while flexing his right leg and knee which is rested on a slightly lower platform. While Carney Chukwuemeka and Trevoh Chalobah were unfortunate to suffer setbacks, Pochettino has seen at least four important players return in recent days with Broja another ahead of a west London derby against Brentford at Stamford Bridge……CONTINUE.FULL.READING>>>
