According to Lilongwe police spokesperson Hastings Chigalu, Wang, who works in a shop, was instructed by his boss to deposit the money at the bank.
However, instead of following these instructions, he took his boss’s car and went to a casino (Cassino), where he spent the entire amount.
Afterward, Wang’s phone stopped working, and he became unreachable.
Following an investigation, the police found Wang hiding at the home of another Chinese citizen, Wen Jui, 50 years old, in Area 43.
