Comrade Joseph Evah, a former Ijaw National Congress publicity secretary, has claimed that the opposing group of the Rivers State House of Assembly attempted to incriminate Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
He said that in order to avoid danger, the Governor had moved appropriately in dismantling the State House complex. In his capacity as the head of state, he also urged President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the political unrest in Rivers State.
He said in an interview with TVC, ”We thank the governor for saving lives. Because the opposition members wanted to commit suicide in that house and put it on Fubara’s head.
An Ijaw man is a wise man. As an activist, we know what happened in Warri crisis. We are telling the Americans and British people to call the President. All the Oil companies left Warri because of a political crisis.
Nigerians forget history. We are raising this alarm that the President should call the situation in Port Harcourt to order.”
